Utilizing each resident’s potential for independence, while understanding their limitations, our team of professionals and caregivers assist with bathing, dressing, personal grooming, dietary issues, medication management and social activities.

Ocean Villa offers residents a full range of health support services. In addition to providing a clean healthful environment, our staff is available around-the-clock to address health concerns promptly and effectively.

• Daily assisted care is provided by 24-hour caregivers and staff LVN’s who are trained in senior care.
• In serious medical situations, our staff is prepared to contact 911 paramedics, the resident’s family and personal physician.
• A 24-hour on call doctor is provided should the resident’s regular physician be unavailable.
• Bedside care is provided for temporary illness.
• Physical therapists, occupational therapists and home health aides can be coordinated for rehabilitation under doctor’s orders.
• All medication at Ocean Villa are monitored by licensed nurses, centrally stored, and dispensed by trained personnel in strict accordance with each physician’s orders.
• Ocean Villa also maintains a complete medication record, the medication name, the strength and quantity, and instructions for administering.
• R.N. on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Lodging in either a private or semi-private room with garden views from all rooms, some with ocean views.
• Daily laundry service for our residents’ clothing. Weekly maid service for each resident’s room and bath.
• Furniture is provided or residents may bring their own furniture.
• Private phones can be installed in the resident’s room.
• Cable television hook-ups available in each room.
• Planning and arranging transportation to and from medical and dental appointments or other outside activities.
• Assistance with ambulating and transfers and monitoring of physical therapy if needed.
• Special diets and/or personal preferences will be accommodated.
• Hospice Care Programs for End of Life Care

DINING

Each day begins with a delicious breakfast… hot cereal, fresh fruit, selection of eggs, breads, juices, hot-cakes, waffles. Dinner (served at noon) features hot entrees such as baked fish, roasted turkey, pot roast, potatoes, pasta, rice, fresh salads and vegetables, homemade desserts and breads.

Mid-Morning and Mid-Afternoon juice and snacks are served. Supper time is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with delicious entrees and fresh fruit. Nutritious bedtime snacks are provided for our frail residents and on resident request.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Providing for our residents social and emotional needs is as important to us as looking after their physical well-being.

To meet those needs, Ocean Villa starts by interviewing each resident to determine his or her favorite activities and interests. Based on this information, social activities are developed which will be most rewarding and beneficial to all our residents’ health and welfare.
